Hridoy Rabi Das, a Hindu male of age 21, was slain on Saturday, November 16, following his torture and beating at the hands of army officers and a Muslim mob.
The incident took place in Bangladesh's Kishoreganj district's Karimganj upazila. The only thing that Hridoy did wrong was fall in love with a Muslim girl and start dating her.
Hridoy and his cousin were arrested by the Muslim girl's family on Friday, November 15, and taken to the Bhuiya market area's clubhouse. Five or six people in a mob questioned the two.
Hridoy and his cousin were attacked by the Muslim males, who also confiscated their cell phones. The victims were then transported by autorickshaw to the army camp, where they were pummelling the whole way.
Two different rooms were used to house Hridoy and his relative. After being tortured and thrashed, the dead was taken to the Upazila Health Complex at around two in the morning on Saturday, November 16.
Hridoy was brought to the President Abdul Hamid Medical College in Kishoreganj as his condition worsened, where he passed away from his wounds.
Law enforcement officials are currently trying to hide the crime and claim that the Hindu guy was killed due to a "drug overdose." In order to justify his death, Hridoy is simultaneously presented as a "trafficker."
